BrightNight

Strategic direction for a flagship event

BrightNight, a next-generation power and digital infrastructure company, came to Summer Bunker with an intriguing challenge: spearhead the strategy and content for their annual AI Clean Energy Summit.

Working in close partnership with BrightNight’s exceptional team, we designed a one-day summit that brought fresh thinking to a critical question.

Conference theme: Retrofit (word superimposed on image of transmission lines), Redesign (word superimposed on image of solar panels), Reimagine (word superimposed on satelite image of southeastern United States at night).

Insight: For utilities, the energy transition feels like it’s changing everything, everywhere, all at once. It’s an overwhelming process, so we broke it down into three essential tasks.

Retrofit: The challenge of layering advanced technology onto existing infrastructure

Redesign: The work of integrating AI-enabled, utility-scale components into the grid while meeting the challenge of load growth

Reimagine: The opportunity to shape a dynamic, resilient, AI-first grid

Once we’d established the theme, we got to work bringing it to life, taking a leading role in everything from event marketing to session planning and run-of-show development. Summer Bunker founder, Sarah Costello, made a cameo appearance as a session moderator.
